Fishing in my mind
With an ivory hook
For the words
And the reasons
In a passage from the Book.
Wishing in my mind
For just a second look
From my God
Or an angel
Or an unseen rook.
Lurking in my mind
In a corner or a nook
Are my passions
And my fears
And the dreams that you took.

been loaned to the General Fund of the federal government for other
uses, contributing even further to the national debt. (more) |
