Perpetual Flow
The day
erupts with the falling earth,
True to its word -
Giving promise of birth.
Breaking the sun in -
There is cold water running,
Cutting the land which makes up my home.
Wind ripples a chime
Through the surface foam.
Bending tide rushing
Fluid arms brushing
The banks worn smooth by perpetual flow.
Its surge washes clean
All that I know.

trillion by 2012 and an even higher amount in its peak year of 2017. But this surplus has
been loaned to the General Fund of the federal government for other
uses, contributing even further to the national debt. (more) |
